I have a 4x5 "Graflex", not a "Grafic" Grafmatic back. It has all 6 film septums. Some septums are dinged or scratched, but none are bent or kinked, so they cycle smoothly in the holder. Exposure counter works as does the frame number wheel.
I just saw the "no sales" sign on the help board so I edited my post just to tell you about this back I have that doesn't fit my camera. How come the administrater/
moderators can sell, and the rest of us can't? They even have a specific catagory: ******* by Graflex.org. Could a catagory such as this be created for the rest of us? Would this not be helpful and useful?

There is a "No Sale" policy here, because the site ownership SAYS there is one. The same goes for the other rules. This is NOT a democracy!
You can use the Search function to see this has been discussed in the past.
Nobody ever said life is fair - here anyway! Just enjoy what IS available. |

Kind of like the "love it or leave it" attitude. How about being able to think freely, ask questions, and perhaps improve on things? |

The fear seems to be that anything of that sort would be found and abused by the ill-disposed, and I have to agree that this is very likely.
Whoever pays to host the site gets to set the rules, of course. Any of us can start our own, if we wish.
I do think that some sort of BBS for swapping and seeking would be feasible, but someone would have to set it up. If they don't want to do it, I for one will remain grateful for what they are doing. |

It's not just a question of abuse. It's also a major upkeep problem and more bandwidth, and bits cost! Read the other discussion of selling here and you'll understand.

...or, "When you own the bat and ball, you're captain of the team." That always was regarded as fair and equitable, in my school days, and I think it remains so today. |

Okay, okay. I'm sorry I had an idea and I'm sorry I asked. Please don't get me wrong, I think this site is fantastic, I was only trying to suggest an improvement in utility. Again, please accept my humble apologies.
